Digital Video + Art Seminar in Berlin, Germany   May 27 – June 5, 2010

Nicole Cohen, Artist and Professor of Art, leads you through this intensive study of Digital Video + Art production in Berlin. Over nine days in Berlin, the group will be filming dynamic locations visiting historical sites, and viewing contemporary video art exhibitions by international and local artists.

While shooting short video works to capture the city and create short narratives on location in Berlin, we will also edit and exhibit them online in a virtual gallery set up by the Berlin Collective http://berlin-collective.blogspot.com/.  We will learn through video editing how to composite your digital photographs into our video projects.  All videos will be burned onto DVDs.  Our goal is for you to return to your studio with an intimate knowledge of Berlin and how to produce video works that document, explore, express, and challenge our perceptions of a newly discovered city so that your skill will be practiced in the next “new city” you explore.
