My sister told me that the CSA trip to Turkey and Greece was to be a trip of a life time. I was not to be disappointed! I feel very fortunate to have benefited from traveling among life long students of art, literature, history and architecture whose knowledge literally brought the experience to life and inspired me to begin my own journey of study upon my return home. They also happened to be very fun too! Being a traveler with CSA was like being a guest at a great party; you know a lot of hard work went on behind the scenes, but you were able to ”just show up and enjoy”. I can’t stop thinking of our week in Paris and all the enjoyment we had together. We had the company of a small group of friends. We could be together, go off by ourselves, be in small groups, or with just one other; we had the freedom to choose what we felt like doing at any given moment. We could change our mind mid-stream. WOW I had a blast traveling with Angela. She is a seasoned traveler with an amiable personality, and she takes the stress out of planning the perfect trip by knowing exactly where to go! Although she will direct you to some favorite spots that are not to be missed, she is also open to new experiences and understands that the secret to any successful trip is to know just when to go with the flow. Although many people in the hospitality industry in major cities speak English, having a fluent Italian speaker was invaluable when traveling through the rustic and beautiful countryside. Steve Cushner, the artist in residence, was a fantastic guide on my visual journey. The best part of the trip was coming home with a suitcase of artwork that perfectly captured my travels through Italy! Angela and Steve made it possible to have a unique connection with Italian food, land, and culture, which is an experience that you just can’t get through guidebooks and commercial tours.
